The house across the street is our third and final attempt to buy a renovation project, something we’ve talked about since we very first met.
After pulling out of a crumbling damp terrace in Camberwell just after we got married, and getting cold feet about a cottage with a huge chunk of bog river meadow to manage last year, we eventually stumbled upon the perfect property right under our noses.
This blog attempts to chronicle what will undoubtedly be the biggest, messiest and most expensive thing we’ll ever do. Our 1920s semi in Surrey needs new electrics, heating, a Big Extension, and removal of some big trees & an air raid shelter … we will be attempting not to go bananas during the process.
Also, yes, we have two preschoolers … and no, we are not moving out. Cross your fingers!
